Achieve precise pH measurements with the Hanna Instruments HI11310 digital glass body pH electrode, engineered for superior performance and seamless integration in laboratory environments. This advanced probe combines a built-in temperature sensor and intelligent microchip technology to ensure reliable and accurate readings across diverse applications.

Built-In Microchip

The integrated microchip stores crucial sensor data, including sensor type, serial number, and comprehensive calibration information such such as date, time, offset, slope, probe condition, and buffers used. This data is automatically retrieved by your Hanna edge® meter when the electrode is connected, allowing for convenient hot-swapping without the need for recalibration. All pH measurements are digitally processed within the electrode itself and then transferred to the meter, effectively eliminating electrical noise issues often associated with traditional high-impedance analog systems, especially in humid conditions or from built-in temperature sensors.

Spherical Glass Tip

The unique spherical tip design of the electrode maximizes contact area with your sample, leading to faster response times and enhanced measurement stability. The HI11310 utilizes a high temperature (HT) glass formulation, making it suitable for samples ranging from -5 to 100°C. While standard general-purpose (GP) glass electrodes typically have a resistance of 100 megaohms at 25°C, the HI11310's HT glass starts around 400 megaohms at 25°C, with its resistance decreasing to approximate that of GP glass when exposed to elevated temperatures, ensuring consistent accuracy across its operational range.

Double Junction Reference

This electrode features a double junction design, which includes an internal compartment surrounding the reference wire. This inner compartment contains silver ions in its electrolyte, while the electrolyte in the outer compartment is kept silver-free. This advanced configuration ensures that virtually no silver from the electrode enters your sample, making the HI11310 ideal for measuring samples where silver contamination is undesirable or where the formation of silver precipitates on the junction is a concern.

Glass Electrode Body

The durable glass body of the electrode offers excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for a broad spectrum of applications. This material is compatible with many non-aqueous solvents and other aggressive chemicals commonly found in laboratories. Furthermore, glass provides inherent resistance to various forms of radiation, such as ultraviolet radiation, contributing to the probe's long-term integrity and performance.

Built-In Temperature Sensor

The HI11310 digital pH probe incorporates a built-in thermistor temperature sensor precisely positioned at the tip of the indicating pH electrode. This strategic placement ensures the temperature reading is as close as possible to the pH sensing membrane, which is vital for accurately compensating for temperature's influence on the membrane potential. By providing highly accurate temperature data, this sensor guarantees truly precise, temperature-compensated pH results.
