SCILOGEX SCI-2101UV · MPN 401033010009

Your wavelength.
Your method.
A defined configuration.

UV-Vis measurements across 190–1100 nm, a fixed 1 nm bandwidth and stand-alone touchscreen operation. SCI-2101UV brings spectral scans, kinetics and quantitative work into one single-beam instrument.

Choose by measurement needs: wavelength, cuvette, bandwidth and data workflow.

Make the configuration work for you

Three practical reasons to consider SCI-2101UV

01

Operate at the instrument

Run photometric, quantitative, spectrum scan, kinetics and multi-wavelength functions from the touchscreen without making a PC mandatory.

02

Start with a known cell setup

The standard manual four-cell holder takes 10 mm cuvettes. Four glass and two quartz cuvettes are listed; automatic sampling is not the standard configuration.

03

Plan the data handoff

USB storage and USB/RS232 interfaces support result transfer. Confirm the PC software edition and license if computer control is part of your workflow.

Configuration at a glance

A single-beam instrument with a manual sample setup

This configuration map is a buying aid, not an optical-path diagram. A four-cell holder does not make this a four-beam instrument or an automatic sample changer.

In single-beam work, blank/reference and sample readings are taken sequentially. Plan blanking and re-zeroing around the method; this is not simultaneous double-beam sample/reference monitoring.

Match the method before selecting accessories

  • Choose a cuvette material suitable for the wavelength and solvent. Quartz is the appropriate starting point for UV work; glass transmission must be checked before UV use.
  • Confirm optical path, sample volume and cell geometry. A 10 mm holder does not establish a minimum sample volume or compatibility with every microcuvette.
  • Use spectrum scans to inspect wavelength-dependent response and kinetics to follow change over time. Sample preparation and method validation remain laboratory responsibilities.
  • For quantitative work, establish suitable blanks, standards and calibration. Instrument functions do not establish suitability for every sample or application.

Which Scilogex UV-Vis configuration fits your lab?

All four models cover 190–1100 nm. Choose bandwidth against your method and beam design against your blank/reference workflow. This is a configuration guide, not an accuracy or performance ranking.

Model Beam Design Bandwidth Best-Fit Consideration
SCI-2101UVThis listing Single beam 1 nm When sequential blanking suits your workflow and your method calls for 1 nm bandwidth.
SCI-2102UV Single beam 2 nm When sequential blanking suits your workflow and your method accepts 2 nm bandwidth.
SCI-3101UV Double beam 1 nm When sample/reference measurement suits your workflow and your method calls for 1 nm bandwidth.
SCI-3102UV Double beam 2 nm When sample/reference measurement suits your workflow and your method accepts 2 nm bandwidth.

On a phone, swipe the chart horizontally to compare all four columns. Double beam is not automatically necessary; confirm your method, cuvettes and measurement requirements before selecting.

What is listed as standard—and what is optional

Standard configuration

  • SCI-2101UV spectrophotometer, MPN 401033010009
  • Manual 10 mm four-cell holder
  • Four 10 mm glass cuvettes
  • Two 10 mm quartz cuvettes
  • Power cord and user manual

The model-specific brochure and current manufacturer page also list “PC software.” The same page describes Wave Professional as optional. Confirm the edition, license, installation requirements and PC-control entitlement before ordering.

Optional accessories

  • Automatic cell holder
  • Thermostatic automatic sampler
  • Adjustable micro-cell holder
  • Reflection accessory
  • Integrating sphere

These are manufacturer-listed accessory categories, not included items. Confirm the exact accessory part number, compatibility and setup for this MPN; no accessory availability is implied.

Eight questions to settle before ordering

Is SCI-2101UV really 1 nm, or is the bandwidth 1 mm?

The model-specific brochure and current manufacturer page specify 1 nm spectral bandwidth. “1 mm” in older listing text is a unit error. The 10 mm dimension refers to the standard cuvette setup, not spectral bandwidth.

Does single beam mean this has only one cuvette position?

No. Single beam describes the optical configuration; the standard holder has four manually selected 10 mm cell positions. It does not provide simultaneous double-beam monitoring or automatic cell changing.

Can I use the supplied glass cuvettes at UV wavelengths?

Do not assume glass is suitable across the full 190–1100 nm instrument range. Use an appropriate UV-transmitting quartz cuvette for UV measurements and confirm solvent compatibility, transmission and path length for your method.

Do I need a computer, and is Wave Professional included?

The manufacturer describes stand-alone touchscreen operation. PC software is listed among standard items, but Wave Professional is also described as optional. Confirm the supplied software edition, license and supported computer environment rather than assuming a complete PC-control package.

Will a microvolume cell or temperature-controlled sampler fit?

The standard setup is a manual 10 mm holder. The manufacturer lists optional micro-cell and thermostatic accessories, but minimum sample volume and compatibility for a particular cell or sampler require confirmation. They are not included by default.

Which performance numbers should a specification-critical buyer use?

The specification table follows the SCI-2101UV brochure and matching manufacturer page. The shared manual differs on photometric accuracy and repeatability, absorbance range, baseline stability, flatness and noise. Request confirmation of current-production specifications for this exact MPN before relying on an acceptance criterion.

Does MPN 401033010009 confirm a US electrical configuration?

The existing handle includes US plug, but it is not electrical verification. The brochure lists AC 110 V/60 Hz or 220 V/50 Hz; the shared manual states AC 110–230 V/50–60 Hz. Confirm the supplied unit’s rating plate, voltage configuration and cord/plug before purchase and installation.

How do I order SCI-2101UV, and what should I confirm before delivery?

Confirm the applicable warranty and support terms with Blue Tiger Scientific for this order. Published manufacturer availability messages are not an order-specific stock or dispatch commitment. Request current lead time, shipping arrangements and freight terms; none are promised here. Order catalog 401033010009 through Add to Cart, or use the existing Add to Quote option for a purchase-order quote or application question. A storefront quantity is not proof of physical supplier stock or immediate dispatch.

Confirm the written warranty duration and any lamp, consumable or model-specific exclusions for the exact product before purchase. General category-level warranty wording does not override a product-specific warranty. Misuse, improper installation, unauthorized repairs, physical or chemical abuse, and use contrary to the supplied instructions can affect coverage. Keep your invoice and contact Blue Tiger Scientific to coordinate a claim; manufacturer-approved technical support or service is performed by Scilogex or its authorized service provider.

    Warranty registration

After delivery, complete Scilogex’s warranty registration as instructed by the manufacturer and retain your proof of purchase, model and serial number. Scilogex describes registration as activating coverage, supporting access to product assistance and enabling recall contact. Blue Tiger Scientific can help you obtain the registration instructions. Registration does not expand the applicable warranty or substitute for its conditions.

    Refunds and account credits

Any approved refund, credit or exchange for a purchase through Blue Tiger Scientific will be coordinated through us following the applicable inspection and approval process. Scilogex publishes a return-processing estimate of 7–10 days after receipt; this is not a guaranteed Blue Tiger refund date. Additional payment-provider processing time may apply. We will confirm the outcome and any applicable authorized deductions rather than promising an automatic refund.

These statements summarize our reseller process and relevant manufacturer requirements. They do not replace the applicable written product warranty, your confirmed order terms or rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
