    S-Acetyl-coenzyme A synthetase, or acetyl-CoA synthetase, is an enzyme in Baker’s Yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) that converts acetate into acetyl-CoA, a key metabolite in energy production and biosynthesis. It plays a vital role in the citric acid cycle and fermentation processes. The gene encoding this enzyme is referred to as ACS. This product has been used as a molecular tool for various biochemical applications. It has also been used in a wide array of other chemical and immunological applications.
